How Jaxie collects, uses, and protects your data, including the data you share when you connect your YouTube account.

Jaxie ("Jaxie," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered platform that helps YouTube creators research ideas, write titles, hooks, and scripts, design thumbnails, edit videos, and manage thumbnail A/B tests. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to jaxieai.com and the Jaxie web application.
By creating an account or connecting your YouTube account, you agree to the practices described here.
When you sign up, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your billing details; we do not store your full card number on our servers.
We store the content you create and upload in Jaxie: brand voice profiles, titles, hooks, scripts, thumbnails, avatars, uploaded photos and videos, generated media, research watchlists, and content calendars. This content is scoped to your account and is not visible to other users.
Connecting your YouTube channel is optional. If you choose to connect it, you authorize Jaxie through Google's OAuth consent screen, and we access only the data needed to run the features you use:

We request the minimum permissions required for these features. We do not read your private videos' content, we do not post comments, and we do not delete your videos.
We collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and in-app activity (for example, which tools you use and credit usage) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Jaxie uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
You can review and revoke Jaxie's access to your Google account at any time through the Google security settings page at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by clicking Disconnect YouTube inside Jaxie's settings. When you revoke access or disconnect, we stop accessing your YouTube data and delete the stored authorization tokens.
Jaxie's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide and improve the features you use, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless we have your consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security or to comply with law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (databases and object storage) with access controls and encryption in transit over HTTPS. YouTube authorization tokens are stored scoped to your individual account. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate Jaxie, and only to the extent needed to deliver our features. These include:
These providers are bound by their own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Jaxie and its users.
We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete specific content, it is removed from your account. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time, which deletes the stored authorization tokens.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.
Jaxie is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Jaxie after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
